Sci Fi Artist H E Giger is remembered on the heights of Mt Titiroa because of the Rock Formations that are reminiscent of his work and eggs from the Ridley Scott movie "Alien"

No offical trail to the Mountain has been made but there is now a smartphone APP  for the more adventure keen Trampers to find the way.

 Mystical Mount Titiroa has reveiled another Strange Rock Formation
Just Discovered by Manapouri Resident Jimmy Calder.

Mount Titiroa was sited as a Possible Route choice for a Grand Fiordland Walking Track that Spans Fiordland National Park From North to South.

This "Find" adds to the Many strange granite features that make Mt Titiroa an attractive wilderness destination for visitors to Te Anau and Manapouri.
